Buying a car in Nigeria is not a small decision. It's months of research, WhatsApp group arguments, conflicting advice from people who haven't bought a car in seven years, and at least one uncle who insists you should "just get a Camry." We've all been there. That's why we started this series. Every week, the Aladi Autos team picks one car worth your attention — new, used, electric, hybrid, affordable, premium — and breaks it down properly. No hype. No unnecessary jargon. Just the honest, useful information you need to decide whether a car belongs in your life or someone else's.

What We Cover Every Week

Each Car of the Week feature is built around four things: 

1. Performance & Specs: What the car actually does — engine or motor output, drive experience, how it handles, and whether the numbers on paper translate to something you'd actually enjoy driving. 
2. Price & Value: What you're paying, what you're getting, and whether the maths makes sense. We'll tell you when a car is worth every naira — and when it isn't. 
3. Nigerian Road Context: Does it handle Lagos potholes? How does it perform in traffic? What's the fuel economy in real Nigerian driving conditions — not the manufacturer's optimistic highway estimate? This is the section other car reviews skip. We don't. 
4. Where to Get It: If it's a car we stock or can source, we'll tell you exactly how to start the process. If it's something we don't handle directly, we'll point you in the right direction anyway. Because the goal is to help you get into the right car, not just to sell you one.

We're not reviewing cars from press releases and manufacturer brochures. At Aladi Autos, we source, inspect, and deliver vehicles. We see the actual condition of these cars. We know which models arrive looking better than they drive, which ones are genuinely underrated, and which ones have recurring issues nobody mentions in the glossy reviews.
